combined service was yesterday.. global conference on wednesday and thursday night.. what can i say? a right slap in the face, that's what. i really need to wake up and stop "being" busy and come back to Him..

after combined service, met up with sean, adria, shiying and ken.. went to pizza hut for their new pasta. DUDE don't go to the suntec outlet.. seriously. wait was super long, pasta was super bad, my pizza didn't come after forty five minutes.. dude. at least it was saved by a SURPRISE from the guys haha early birthday celebration.. super good cheese cake plus a new wallet! hehheh really nice but abit too smal :( never mind must mature muaha. yay then went to T3, solved all 3 puzzles on same game booth thing.. popeyes never disappoints.. lurbes to the guys haha..

hey everyone i'm back haha after longer then 3 months break muahaha last post was may 11? haha wow talk about dead :) well loads have happened since i last blogged, but sigh should i go into details? its 1:42 am at night and i have to wake at 6:30am tomorrow (actually today argh) for soccer match at sengkang. yikes. oh well i guess i owe it to you guys.

well obviously, new blogskin! haha since i update seldom, i thought a new blogskin would be a nice change. plus the old one was getting stale hehheh. yup, so where do i begin? hmm of course mid-years are over since may 11 lol i didn't do so well as a retainee J1 should, got 2 Bs for H1s but my H2s were like D, S and U? argh have to buck up promos in 47 days?! and yeah, holidays went by super quickly cause of UNSTOPPABLE church camp haha oh man i actually didn't blog about it. well, long story short those 4 days were really spent with God and with His people. want to know details, tell me and i'll reveal more to you at service :)

yeah, after June holidays i started filming for the recently concluded national day telemovie, This Is My Home. filming went past rather fast, a week or so. Got to watch the NDP rehearsal as part of a scene in the show, so yay benefits! Then school started again, blah blah blah, H1N1! yikes thank God seriously that no one close to me got it. hehheh maybe we did but we didn't know since H1N1 is so lame anyway. oh yeah filmed for school's film art short film too. Really lame honestly, after watching the final product i must say it totally flopped big time. Not filmart's fault i guess.. in all fairness it was their first time producing a show. talking about school, inspired by somerthing my literature teacher said. "You want to smoke (as in through exams not the death stick kind of smoke) can, but first you need fire!" wah enlightened.

Hmm, what else? training has started, being captain is really kinda easy since the nanyang soccer team is quite slack hehheh no real expectations to train hard and win the Adivs or anything so yeah. but OEI if any soccer people reading this, NO EXCUSE! COME FOR TRAINING! haha kidding, plus got to spend time with some of my teammates like farid, linus, yu en and linwei as we studied together. crazy bunch, i like~ uno! dos! tres! cartoce!

let's see i've started twittering! under "cheowkoon", i think i update that more than blogger anyways so you can check me out there. hmm, i realised i have loads of people to catch up with. people like dana, june, phinsiew, stella.. i know i know all girls right?! don't judge me! haha kidding.. just that the guys i "should" be catching up with, we do that quite often over soccer and movies so not so pressing to catch up. hehheh.

wow 1:54am. if i don't go to sleep i'll die tomorrow morning. so yeah, today's service was so awesome. pastor shirley is God-sent seriously! worship was really good too.. prayed a dangerous but powerful prayer today, "Use Me". waiting with an expectant and excited heart to see how God uses me, even as i work towards being the answer to my own prayer instead of just waiting for an answer.

alright back for a quick update.. today my school soccer team just won our first A-div match! woohooo.. we won ANDERSON 2-1 hehheh yay didn't play to my own expectation but it was alright i guess... yup just felt like blogging that.

wow after almost a month, i'm back!
haha how do i know it been a month? well because of the date of my previous post? -.-
no but also because finally i've gotten CONTACT LENSES hehheh and i'm using monthly ones, and i'm about to change pairs so, wooo one month. xD

yup but so far school has been awesome, work is so much more manageable when you actually do it heh. and well its been an eventful week, hence prompting me to finally blog again.

WEDNESDAY brought about metamorphosis! woo haha it was a good day of teachings, games and FOOD hehheh and finally i'm holy spirit baptised so yay~ and let's see, wednesday night also had Yi Qie Wan Mei 2 : Perfect Cut 2.. and i was in it as a dude with breasts xD interesting, but if you guys didnt catch it, TOO BAD. one episode only hehheh. after metamorphosis i rushed back to school for my soccer camp. heheh i missed the afternoon match with Millenia Institute, which my team won 3-0 so wooo good job guys,

THURSDAY woke up at 730 after sleeping only at 0100 the previous night. Did Beep test, reached lvl 13.3. then went for morning run and morning strengthening cricuits with the team. after luch, slack slack then late afternoon we had self training, then after dinner around 11plus we went and played 3 on 3 in the atrium haha. crazy day. slept at 0100 again that night. -.-

FRIDAY woke at 7 to clean up the room we were using, then went for training. after training went home for about two hours before GOING BACK to school for soccer match. haha well the match went well, and God was really watching over me heheh no injuries and i played quite well so yeah fwoooooo. i even scored the winning 3-2 goal after a deflection from Kenneth's freekick. after match met up with the rest of OUCH and played street soccer at the nearby community centre. reached home around 1145pm.

WAH TIRED! then now i'm abit sick :( but its okay because i know my God is watching over me, and there's service later woohoo!

partial dislocation of my left shoulder again on saturday, now the doctor says that i'm not supposed to play contact sports for at least a month.

alright so long since i blogged.. its been around twenty days haha and guess what, school's starting next MONDAY woooo finally. excited to get back to work right?! heyhey but so far in the past 20 days nothing much happened.. only things worth noting is of course CHINESE NEW YEAR.

i find that this year's CNY lacks festive cheer somehow.. like the mood for visitations and bakua isn't right.. like kissing your bestfriend's fiancee before the wedding.. (?!) haha kidding about the analogy, not the complain. hmmmm.. PLUS i bought two shirts from Bugis street, then cannot try on the spot.. in the end i went home never try, on CNY morning then i realise too SMALL. -.- Lord give me strength lol~

a few of us went to catch Love Matters on Monday night, then hanged around till super late haha 5 am?

right of course Adria's 17th birthday is over.. now she's the same age as me! until august that is hehheh.. so yup, pictures~

anyway before i start with the birthday pictures, i realised we have a new trend in The Pinnacle.. our group photos are self-timer + wide shot + different heights and distance.. can under can stand? observe!

'Let me explain the problem science has with Jesus Christ.' The atheist professor of philosophy pauses before his class and then asks one of his new students to stand.

'You're a Christian, aren't you, son?'

'Yes sir,' the student says.

'So you believe in God?'

'Absolutely.'

'Is God good?'

'Sure! God's good.'

'Is God all-powerful? Can God do anything?'

'Yes.'

'Are you good or evil?'

'The Bible says I'm evil.'

The professor grins knowingly.

'Aha! The Bible!' He considers for a moment.

'Here's one for you, let's say there's a sick person over here and you can cure him. You can do it. Would you help him? Would you try?'

'Yes sir, I would.'

'So you're good...!'

'I wouldn't say that.'

'But why not say that? You'd help a sick and maimed person if you could. Most of us would if we could. But God doesn't.'

The student does not answer, so the professor continues. 'He doesn't, does he? My brother was a Christian who died of cancer, even though he prayed to Jesus to heal him How is this Jesus good? Hmmm? Can you answer that one?'

The student remains silent.

'No, you can't, can you?' the professor says. He takes a sip of water from a glass on his desk to give the student time to relax.

'Let's start again, young fella. Is God good?'

'Er...yes,' the student says.

'Is Satan good?'

The student doesn't hesitate on this one.

'No.'

'Then where does Satan come from?'

The student : 'From...God..'

'That's right. God made Satan, didn't he? Tell me, son. Is there evil in this world?'

'Yes, sir.'

'Evil's everywhere, isn't it? And God did make everything, correct?'

'Yes.'

'So who created evil?' The professor continued, 'If God created everything, then God created evil, since evil exists, and according to the principle that our works define who we are, then God is evil.'

Without allowing the student to answer, the professor continues: 'Is there sickness? Immorality? Hatred? Ugliness? All these terrible things, do they exist in this world?'

The student: 'Yes.'

'So who created them?'

The student does not answer again, so the professor repeats his question.

'Who created them?'

There is still no answer. Suddenly the lecturer breaks away to pace in front of the classroom. The class is mesmerized.

'Tell me,' he continues onto another student.

'Do you believe in Jesus Christ, son?'

The student's voice is confident: 'Yes, professor, I do.'

The old man stops pacing.

'Science says you have five senses you use to identify and observe the world around you. Have you ever seen Jesus?'

'No sir. I've never seen Him.' '

Then tell us if you've ever heard your Jesus?'

'No, sir, I have not.'

'Have you ever actually felt your Jesus, tasted your Jesus or smelled your Jesus? Have you ever had any sensory perception of Jesus Christ, or God for that matter?'

'No, sir, I'm afraid I haven't.'

'Yet you still believe in him?'

'Yes.'

'According to the rules of empirical, testable, demonstrable protocol, science says your God doesn't exist. What do you say to that, son?'

'Nothing,' the student replies. 'I only have my faith.'

'Yes, faith,' the professor repeats. 'And that is the problem science has with God. There is no evidence, only faith.'

The student stands quietly for a moment, before asking a question of his own. 'Professor, is there such a thing as heat?'

'Yes,' the professor replies. 'There's heat.'

'And is there such a thing as cold?'

'Yes, son, there's cold too.'

'No sir, there isn't.'

The professor turns to face the student, obviously interested. The room suddenly becomes very quiet.

The student begins to explain. 'You can have lots of heat, even more heat, super-heat, mega-heat, unlimited heat, white heat, a little heat or no heat, but we don't have anything called 'cold'. We can hit up to 458 degrees below zero, which is no heat, but we can't go any further after that. There is no such thing as cold; otherwise we would be able to go colder than the lowest-458 degrees. Every body or object is susceptible to study when it has or transmits energy, and heat is what makes a body or matter have or transmit energy. Absolute zero (-458 F) is the total absence of heat. You see, sir, cold is only a word we use to describe the absence of heat. We cannot measure cold. Heat we can measure in thermal units because heat is energy. Cold is not the opposite of heat, sir, just the absence of it.'

Silence across the room. A pen drops somewhere in the classroom, sounding like a hammer.

'What about darkness, professor. Is there such a thing as darkness?'

'Yes,' the professor replies without hesitation. 'What is night if it isn't darkness?'

'You're wrong again, sir. Darkness is not something; it is the absence of something. You can have low light, normal light, bright light, flashing light, but if you have no light constantly you have nothing and it's called darkness, isn't it? That's the meaning we use to define the word. In reality, darkness isn't. If it were, you would be able to make darkness darker, wouldn't you?'

The professor begins to smile at the student in front of him. This will be a good semester. 'So what point are you making, young man?'

'Yes, professor. My point is, your philosophical premise is flawed to start with, and so your conclusion must also be flawed.'

The professor's face cannot hide his surprise this time. 'Flawed? Can you explain how?'

'You are working on the premise of duality,' the student explains. 'You argue that there is life and then there's death; a good God and a bad God. You are viewing the concept of God as something finite, something we can measure. Sir, science can't even explain a thought. It uses electricity and magnetism, but has never seen, much less fully understood either one. To view death as the opposite of life is to be ignorant of the fact that death cannot exist as a substantive thing. Death is not the opposite of life, just the absence of it.' 'Now tell me, professor. Do you teach your students that they evolved from a monkey?'

'If you are referring to the natural evolutionary process, young man, yes, of course I do.

''Have you ever observed evolution with your own eyes, sir?"

The professor begins to shake his head, still smiling, as he realizes where the argument is going. A very good semester, indeed.

'Since no one has ever observed the process of evolution at work and cannot even prove that this process is an on-going endeavour, are you not teaching your opinion, sir? Are you now not a scientist, but a preacher?'

The class is in uproar. The student remains silent until the commotion has subsided. 'To continue the point you were making earlier to the other student, let me give you an example of what I mean.' The student looks around the room.

'Is there anyone in the class who has ever seen the professor's brain?'

The class breaks out into laughter. 'Is there anyone here who has ever heard the professor's brain, felt professor's brain, touched or smelled the professor's brain? No one appears to have done so. So, according to the established rules of empirical, stable, demonstrable protocol, science says that you have no brain, with all due respect, sir. So if science says you have no brain, how can we trust your lectures, sir?'

Now the room is silent. The professor just stares at the student, his face unreadable. Finally, after what seems an eternity,the old man answers. 'I guess you'll have to take them on faith.'

'Now, you accept that there is faith, and, in fact, faith exists with life,' the student continues. 'Now, sir, is there such a thing as evil?'

Now uncertain, the professor responds, 'Of course, there is. We see it everyday. It is in the daily example of man's inhumanity to man. It is in the multitude of crime and violence everywhere in the world. These manifestations are nothing else but evil.'

To this the student replied, 'Evil does not exist sir, or at least it does not exist unto itself. Evil is simply the absence of God. It is just like darkness and cold, a word that man has created to describe the absence of God. God did not create evil. Evil is the result of what happens when man does not have God's love present in his heart. It's like the cold that comes when there is no heat or the darkness that comes when there is no light.'

The professor sat down.

for those who's brains are slightly cynical and need a sensible argument that does not revolve around the word faith. :)

the dunman MCG today was great, i feel. thank you Lord for the wonderful people and the wonderful weather! but, in the morning tzelin called me to tell me i would be leading worship during the prayer meet -.- eep! so after bargaining i got Gena to co-lead it.. phew. so yup in the end i just sang while Gena lead the worship.. phew but yea~ first attempt, not that bad i think.

hello readers xoxo :)

right so Heroes camp pictures are up in my facebook account, thanks to everyone who linked me in the pictures haha especially Kim (that's the price you pay when you're the main photographer).

and the past week was Pinnacle-filled. SO many pictures, not going to post all of them,

additional scene. the unavoidable yet enjoyable filming days. once again my good (fat) friend decided to throw me one of those strange (challenging?) scenes again. at least this time it was slightly more enjoyable than previous ones. ;)

had a christmas party on Saturday at my house. actually it isn't really a christmas party, just a random excuse for a gathering haha. i realised it isn't easy being host to SO MANY people. well it started out with 5, then slowly people like me started coming in, then audition one and two, now there's twenty odd. wow. plus i find myself becoming more and more comfortable with people like xianhuan, fred, vionna and weilong so yay to friendship~

several people stayed over, had lunch the following day at LJS. that noob is wearing my CCH pe shirt lol.

sang at my house for awhile more, then went out to meet several more people for dinner. xianhuan and Bii. look pretty good together eh?

so my entire week was mostly filled with these people here. God bless them all.

SO i missed pre-christmas service on friday but oh well. Christmas service on Wednesday! woo its coming haha.

yup so tomorrow morning i have this challenging audition coming up. oh dear haha God help me :) we'll see how it goes.

i'm getting a haircut tomorrow AWESOME finally.

HAHA so long since i blogged.. well quick update on what I've been doing..

1.
I've started a new show with Sean and the rest of the TCP cast, plus a few new faces, on a new show called The Pinnacle.. for more information on that check the old TCP blog hehheh

2.
I've been playing soccer as usual, going for training.. which totally sucks now cause our coach kinda left due to issues with the school's support system for the CCA. still. GO FOR TRAINING.

3.
As usual, slacking at home. Youtube is awesome, has anyone mentioned it?!

4.
Most importantly I've been going back to church again, thanks to tzelin :) so yeah. The Lord is my shepherd; I have all that I need.

wow i'm back to post after two weeks plus. muaha been quite boring as usual..
Let's see there was the A-Division match against Tampines JC.. we drew 0-0, that was upsetting cause we controlled the match but just couldn't score... Then there was the school's sports carnival day.. 0824's 2 guys and 4 girls won 0825(?)'s 5 guys and 1 girl! ole~ Then there was the A-Division match against National JC that was postponed due to bad weather.. Then today there was the A-Division match against Saint Andrew's JC that we DREW! yay quite happy cause they're a good school la.. can draw is kinda an achievement in itself.. Oh and i went to Keith's house to record a song for the changing point.. quite sad i sing like crap.. Right then there was TCP filming yesterday.. wow good night cause the acting was impressive, especially Sean and Kaile.. and the lighting was good! in my opinion muaha cause i was the lighting man of the night! proud of my own work xD Hmm i didnt meet my girlfr for a week plus a while back.. quite sad la cause my training and soccer clashed with her own training and competition.. =( but then i met her on Saturday! WEEEE =) happy worx. then i probably meeting her again tomorrow or wednesday.. hmhm=) silly grinzs. hmm found this weird little short story on someone's blog,

The funeral was, for want of a better word, depressing. Everywhere I look were men and women decked in morbid colors of black and white, giving the lifeless void deck an even more solemn, suffocating atmosphere. Everyone was hiding their grief, some trying way too hard to laugh at corny jokes, others greeting their relatives with forced smiles. Occasionally a sob or two would be heard, a glimpse of a teardrop rolling down a smiling face. Yet underneath the surface, I could practically hear the pain resonating from within the very depths of their soul. Their stoic exterior a façade, their eyes betrayed them. It was just a matter of time before the grief devoured them, reducing them to of hysterical crying babies.

I watched as some people at the funeral exchanged looks, as if sharing stories and memories involving the old man who had just passed away. Others, when not putting on an Oscar-winning act, gazed wistfully at the coffin, hoping and wishing, praying for the man they knew and loved so much to return to them. I looked away. I was above that kind of display of weakness. The rest of the evening was spent at the farthest corner from the coffin and mourners on my portable game console. The trip home was a silent affair.

When we got home everyone headed straight to their rooms. As I lay on my bed, I could hear through the thin walls my brother crying. My brother was always there for me when I needed him, still just a teenager but in my eyes a man’s man. Indestructible, invincible. I was not prepared to hear my superman break down and cry. I left my room and trudged to the kitchen. A cup of warm milk and cookies might help to drown out Tom.

As I opened the refrigerator door, I told myself that I did not care. Life is nothing but a marathon. We all start with the some healthy vigor, lose some steam halfway through, then either dropping out of the race early or finishing it with a slow, relaxing jog to the finishing line. There was no need for sadness, no need for tears. Sentimental fools, I thought to myself. Fools with no courage or will power to keep their emotions in check.

Deep down, though, I knew I was just attempting to build a wall around my heart.

Having gotten the milk, I closed the refrigerator door. SLAM! Probably too hard, I winced. A few magnets fell off, along with the notes they held fast to the surface of the door. As the notes fluttered to the ground like weary butterflies heading to the leaves to rest, I reached out and snagged them out of the air.

I looked closely at the papers in my hand under the dim light emitting from the fluorescent clock by the wall. I recognized some of the handwriting. Mine. The notes had sentences varying in length written on them by me a long time ago, when I was still a toddler. These sentences were punctuated by bad grammar and spelling errors, but on some of them the errors were corrected by someone else. By him. With a steady hand and miniscule handwriting, he had crossed out the spelling errors and wrote the correct phrases and spellings above. Re-reading these old notes, I thought back to the times I had spent with him when I was young. How we did my spelling together, how he used to reward me with sweets after a satisfactory English test.

The other notes were written by him. The notes were exceptionally short, scrawled late at night when I had already gone to bed. Sentences like “Hey Jake, remember to bring your wallet to school!” and “The sweets for your grammar test is in the fridge. Enjoy!” I would see these notes in the morning when I woke for school. Before I left I would always bound up the stairs to his room to give him a quick kiss on the cheek. It did not matter that he was still asleep most of the time.

When I was young I would always take it for granted that a new note would be stuck onto the fridge door by magnet. Now, there will never be another one from the old man on the refrigerator door for me again. Now I know, how those little notes with seemingly trivial sentences and simple questions symbolized his love for me. His little notes connected our hearts like a contract, with my glaring spelling mistakes and his scrawny scribbles. A place where we could show our love and affection for each other.

My fingers traced the “computer not compwetor”. There and then, I could almost feel his hand over mine, guiding me.

The walls around my heart came tumbling down.

Mother found me crouched by the refrigerator. She looked a little relieved. She probably found it comforting to see that I cared, after seeing an indifferent grandson at the funeral. Her hands slipped into mine as she sat down beside me. She asked me how I was doing.

Clutching the tear-stained notes, I looked up at her.

“I miss him.”

well orientation was interesting..
got to know my class better but games were quite lame.. cheering was insipidly boring for me haha.. the wet games were quite amusing, too bad the girls were all wearing black. xD joking joking.. hmm then on last day's night we had this dancing diva thing.. i got saboed by my OGLs to dance for my Olympian, Apollo. crap i had to learn 3dances in like an hour and a half?! but what to do.. then somehow i got through to finals.. then the last component was a freestyle section.. i did this,

we had level camp as well.. a leadership camp if you will.. learnt to lead myself first before i have the right to lead others, and to trust my friends and classmates. we had a resilience exercise where we had to push against a group of people.. we'd lose obviously but that's a setback we all face so we had to go on pushing though we know we'll probably fail. my group were all girls so they asked 2 HUGE guys to come.. difficult no doubt but i could hold my own against them ;) arm still hurts though haha. we also had a trust fall thing, where one person falls blindfolded from six chairs up(backwards mind you) into the arms of the rest of the class. quite scary i guess, cause i didnt do it.. no time =( .. but i'm proud of the girls.. they faced their fears and worked together to catch the falling one.

yes i said "proud of the girls" because guess what.. in the class of 20+ people, 2 GUYS AGAIN ONLY!!! wtf~ sigh fated ah.

right so nothing much. this is my class =)

sigh that day we played SRJC in the north zone competition final. lost 0-1. but you know what. i'm proud of the team cause we played better. more possesion. better use of the ball. more shots. more chances. unlucky we let in a goal through an unlucky mistake by our keeper.(dan its alright you did great, nice tip over the bar haha =] ). most importantly, i played like FCUK man. i totally blowed. shouldnt have played at all.. i think i caused the team to lose.. lack of supply and threat down the right. sigh. disheartened sia.. at least i tackled their captain once, get to see his "sian" look.. lol?

well always a next time to own SRJC.. ;) and to play better. catch you all next time.

right i have loads to blog about cause its been so long since i last blogged. what, before chinese new year?

haha so first off, happy chinese new year to all chinese (chineses?) reading this now.. hope you had fun eating all the bakuas and the anti-biotics for the sore throat you got due to the former. i had fun.. of course the new year shopping for clothes.. always brilliant. i got myself a new pair of berms, a nice long sleeved white shirt with an attached skinny tie, a dark greyish-green (?) shirt and a green tee that says "praise futball" wooo soccer rocks my socks~! ........... and everybody loves the hongbaos.. i got quite little compared to previous years.. Aldrich asked my how much i got total..

i told him "oh about 200 plus... you?"
then he gave me this weird contorted face and i knew it. i asked him,

" my total is your one single hongbao is it........"

"erm.. half of one hongbao...."

..

wtf that's friggin insane. i 'm jealous. motherf***.. haha oops~

right and my erm.. cousin? or is it niece... i am absolute rubbish with all these family tress things.. anyway Imanee (imani?) came back from Russia to visit for the CNY.. she's so adorable! she's like, 5 years old and she's such a cam-whore.. i got like 20 over pics in my phone but my phone is refusing to connect with my PC so fine, i'll show you guys pictures soon. but, ARGH so cute.

oh and gambling during CNY is kinda fun too.. i won, mostly, this CNY.. awesome?!

right moving on.. erm valentine's has passed... happy valentine girlfriend! and of course to every other couple who happened to stumbled across this sentence..

day after valentine's is two people's birthdays.. yongsheng and june.. happy birthday to them, ys got a cake from his beloved shiang and some of the OUCH guys went back to school to celebrate with the customary soccer game.. wooo.

and june got a birthday cake (slice) from me in the evening.. i forgot to take off the price tag btw.. talk about embarrassing! argh but yeah she liked it still.

then hmm, so many things to talk about i've kinda lost track... er i went to kaile's house for a Changing Point steamboat.. ooo loads of food! and we played the "PolarBear kills Villagers says the Narrator" game.. i rock at it! muaha. my fellow polar bear is awesome! (kudos kaile)

oh and OUCH had a friendly with the JSSL Arsenal team.. we kinda lost.. 2-1.. but we shouldn't have! we owned them in use of possession i thought.. our penetration was better and were more likely to score during lengthy periods in the match.. their first goal came in the first half when the captain took a speculative shot at goal from midfield.. our keeper, weijun, thought it was going out so he slacked.. in the end, DIP! and dropped into goal. kena lob so sad for him. then the second goal came in the second half when isaac didnt concentrate properly and he let his man run thru on goal.. oh well. then i scored the only goal for our team. missed my first shot and finished my own rebound. but still we lost. there was a penalty claim from me that was totally ignored by the kiayu ref.. DAMN HE KICKED MY SHIN THAT ISNT A FOUL? THAT"S FRIGGIN RETARDED! but oh well its just a game.

oh and talking about soccer i just got a new pair of soccer boots. woooo. the orange mercurial that ronaldo, nani, lennon...... so many wingers wear.. rarh!

and erm.. nothing much i guess.. watched CJ7, Kungfu Dunk and AhLong so far.. best is CJ7 and worst AhLong.. man fann wong sucks as a gangster. jay fans should catch Dunk cause its just show casing Jay's posing skills.

right so my week in a nutshell.

it didn't suck. the coach said he liked my touches.. and i played well during one match as a defensive midfielder(!?!?!?) lol.. yup. i was assigned that position but don't dare say anything later tio scolded on first training. but it was fun. I AM SO lacking in STAMINA. toooo long never exercise lol.

hmm just a few thoughts now..
i was blog-hopping.. (strange phrase huh.. blog hopping.. do blogs have fluffly long ears?) and i went to Stefthyname's blog.. for the uninitiated, Stephanie Ng's blog.. and i saw her rant about this certain person called "Rachel Canella Isanno" . apparently she was "simply Ctrl C + Ctrl V other people's work from their own site. " (direct quote)

ME being the kpo/bored out of my mind person.. went to look for this Rachel Canella Isanno. how did i do that? simple. i GOOGLED her ass.. muaha and i found her friendster and blog.
since the friendster was first i clicked on it.. hmm nice picture..

but her friendster account was restricted to friends only.. just like many other people out there who want their privacy because they fear there are too many perverts wanting to go to their accounts to see their pretty pictures.. (or maybe they just think they're pretty hmmm.. oh well mystery to me)

so fine i clicked on her blog.. maybe i could get more pictures to see how this person looks like..
BUT the first thing i notice was this.

okay just want to say i just watched I AM LEGEND on the net..
always wanted to catch it in the movies cause you know, this kind of movie must watch with

right but the film is pretty good. but lazy to type so i excerpt from someone's review okay.

"Perhaps Will Smith gives his best dramatic performance in "I Am Legend." Or maybe he just seemed a better actor because he actually shut the hell up for a change. Regardless, Smith was the right choice for the role and is the only consistently good aspect about this movie.

The monsters--vombies or zampires or whatever--look realistic enough, although their design is rather derivative and uninventive. The creatures needed more personality, more creativity, in order to separate them from many other similar monsters in recent films.

The flashbacks in the first hour of the film create an interesting frame of reference but don't really provide any character development. You get the standard scene with Smith telling his family to get out of the city and how he must fix the problem, with a monster throwing itself against the car window for a cheap scare. The deaths of his wife and kid don't hit you in the gut like they should, mainly because you know so little about these people. The story would have benefited from more backstory and some engaging characterization.

The first hour or so of the movie is fantastic. The film keeps your attention, the direction especially strong during dark moments. But everything falls apart when two more human characters enter the mix.

I don't believe this woman and her son would have survived a trip out of their original location and into and around New York. I don't believe they are capable of saving Smith. But whatever. The point is that everything goes downhill when they arrive.

Soon, the three humans are attacked by a final swarm of vombies or zampires or whatever, and excitement builds reasonably. The survivors make their way to Smith's lab, Smith's earlier experiment to cure the infected bitch finally worked. How coincidental. He snatches the cure and shoves it into the hands of the woman. That's when he predictably becomes legendary or, rather, "Legend" himself, blowing the vombies or zampires to bits with the most explosive single grenade ever seen in any movie (including every nonstop action movie and war picture).

But wait, I forgot about this very important detail: the butterfly. For a couple of minutes, a solid wall of glass is the only thing that separates the survivors from the goddamn-don't-we-look-like-many-other-monsters-from-recent-films posse. The head vombie or zampire--let's call him Bart, since he's a troublemaker--begins ramming into the glass. Cracks develop in the wall as Bart continues his barrage of rams, the cracked glass forming a shape that resembles a butterfly. Now this is important. Earlier in the film, Smith's daughter referred to a butterfly in an utterly forgettable line. Again this is important to the script of the film, and the main character of the movie knows the screenwriters personally and how epiphanic this moment should be. He glances over to find a tiny butterfly tattoo on the neck of the egg plant woman, and he realizes everything in the script is coming together, almost like a necklace of flowers tied by the blowing wind.

So he becomes "Legend," the butterfly signaling the transformation. Coincidentally, butterflies are natural transformations themselves, which makes this a pretty deep movie.

Alas, the movie doesn't end after the explosion. The egg plant woman and her child make it to a camp of surviving humans, despite the fact that the audience has no reason to believe they're capable or competent travelers--or even legitimate humans for that matter, given their wooden portrayals. The cure is in the right hands at the end of the film, and the movie repeats itself before the credits: Smith's character is "Legend." "

SO mainly the gist of it is, if you were dumb enough to read that entire chunk..
is that the movie was great from the start. i like the way Will Smith portrays his character. you can feel his loneliness just from his facial expressions when he goes about doing his things.. the way he droops his shoulder when he walks..

and one of the best part of the movie is the one where the zombies set up the dummy in the streets. you see his reaction?! he went totally ballistic. too crazy after being alone for so long. haha the butterfly thing was really good i think. deep shit. haha but i understood. XD and the bob marley reference was good too i think.

"light up the darkness."

but most people i talked to probably said it sucked because of one thing. THE BACK PART.
wow totally bullshit. why got extra two noobs come out?! they should have left the entire show to Will Smith la sigh. should have done it like the book.. he's all alone and he dies in the end trying to save the zombies. NO EXTRA NOOBS. NO HAPPY ENDING. that'll show the futility of human achievement.

right so show is GOOD. ENDING SUCKS. oh well.. i liked it.

will smith's acting is brilliant.
go watch the show if what tickles your toes is the performance of the actor and the essence of the film. not the practical stuff like the f*king ending argh.

hello all! happy new year~

well i dont have much pictures of how i spent my new year's eve..
first we went to a dinner.. "we" as in Ouch! and "dinner" as in gabriel's church's dinner..

jowe, gabriel and yonggeng isnt in the picture cause they were sitting at another table LOLX.

the two flying wingers, clichy and sagna.. plus the extra adebayor at the back muaha.

this is our special concoction.. punishment for our zong ji mi ma..
ingredients include, F&N orange, pepper, lime, chilli padi, sour plum powder, honey, soya sauce, chicken head.

muaha after dinner we went to THE CAGE to spend our first few hours in 2008 playing soccer!

alright been pretty moody this past few days.. how come?
my dad told me,

Nike has shortlisted me for an advertisement and asked me to go to an audition. He told me the advertisement would take me to the United States and Beijing, they'd pay me pretty well and stuff, flight + daily allowance + housing is all provided for. sounds good?

well guess what i probably got it. yipee~
i'll be gone next monday night, 12 November to 26 November.

which mean i'll miss my GRADUATION, my SOCCER MATCH, the CHANGING POINT AUDITIONS(where i'll be judging), my PROM, and of course HER.

so pardon me for not being excited. in fact this is the only audition I've ever been to that i didn't want to get the job. argh.

and what pissed me off as well is my dad. i told him my concerns and why i don't want to get the job, and he goes ON and ON about how WONDERFUL this opportunity is and how BRILLIANT it'll be for my future cv and what a GOOD experience it'll be. saying he doesn't understand why i'm not excited and that he thinks its a wonderful chance.

Hm been awhile.. long time since i last blogged. well let me see what i did since i was last here. ok first let me explain why i'm blogging in green. maybe its because i love shrek. or because i'm color blind. or you're color blind. well actually cause its Live Earth day (days?) ..!
me. huge supporter of this event. global warming, big deal people. have you watched the Al Gore documentary An Inconvenient Truth? you should because its good. an excuse to watch tv cause its really educational. so yeah, i went to tuition in GREEN today to support Live Earth. and to my surprise, i saw VERY very little people wearing green.. what's up with that? i hope its because you have no green shirts or because you live under a rock and don't know about Live Earth day.

Saturday went to Merlion Park (is that the name?) to perform for a Live Earth event with my Get High peeps. a bit lame ah, like no one watching.. but who cares? we get paid wooots. nice to get together with the Get High people again. then at night we went to watch transformers. TRANSFORMERS. TRANSFORMERS!!!!!!!!!! transformers.
rocks la rocks la rocks la. its really good. i felt like such a typical guy, falling in love with all the cars and machines and explosions. shall not be a spoiler and tell everyone what happened in the show.

after that, SURPRISE to sijia~ her birthday's on Monday but we celebrated on Saturday cause we didn't have time on Monday.
then the past week-day-week was typical school days. characterless, cloying, colorless, dead, drab, dull, flat, ho hum, humdrum, insipid, interminable, irksome, lifeless, monotonous, platitudinous, plebeian, prosaic, repetitious, routine, spiritless, stale, stupid, tame, tedious, tiresome, tiring, trite, unexciting, unvaried, wearisome... in other words for the people that dont use thesaurus.com, BORING.

so yeah nothing much to say. i just realised my posts recently have a photo deficiency. maybe because i'm using a nokia 6610 ?! haha oh well, price for losing two phones in two weeks..

ok so seriously, yeah school's started again. nothing much happened, just a few things to rant.

1. start of school, i havent cut my hair! its like all round and urgh.

3. start of school, hair isnt cut and i'm taking yearbook pictures, and a confrontation occurs between two groups of people with conflicting opinions. misunderstanding-middle man-blame games. the usual. while they were settling the issue (by blaming each other) yours truly tried to butt in and say a few things like, LET IT GO misunderstanding~~~, i got chided for being extra and having a bad sense of timing. urgh-urgh-urgh. trying to do the right, time-saving thing here~?

4. start of school, hair isnt cut and i'm taking yearbook photo, got scolded for trying to help(to no avail), and filming for khim's tcp appearance is this sunday and i'm supposed to direct it. i havent researched camera angles for her yet! urgh-urgh-urgh-urgh.

well today, i went to changi airport to meet esther liting sijia to study.
so this i did, reaching 30 mins late.. then we ate macs for lunch. i ordered a mcspicy meal and asked the lady to upsize my fries but change my drink to a milo.
note that i didnt say upsize my milo.
but this she did, upsizing my milo. oh well, i'm cool with that.

so after eating we did our work.
now, i brought Amath to do. i did trigonometry.

now, heads and tails, one phrase i dont get. if you cant make head or tails of something, that would mean you can see the body. if you can see the body, you probably be able to at least guess how the head looks like right??
ok so yeah cant do amath but i persisted.
even liting had a little difficulty doing my work.
so yeah then a day of studying, head scratching, *&^$%^& i cant do this-ing, argh-ing ensued.
left at 6 plus with khim, left the rest still studying there for their block test.
went to east point, saw this nike dunks which was going for 80 bucks. like WTF?! 80 bucks.
but guess what, i got the answer every other shopper loves.

we went for some Vesak Day celebration/roadshow thingyee at Ngee Ann City on Saturday, performed Dui Hao Ru Zhuo. haha nothing much to say about the performance. except the lighting was cool and according to Sean, our dance was really neat and professional looking xD WEEEE. ok. so yup, picture before and after the performance.

and one cool thing happened. After the performances, there was this finale thing where all the performcers came on stage. Then this music with a distinctive beat started to play. Guess what, WeiChi and WeiMing started to break dance imprompt. so cool haha. then this other performer joined the fun and did a little jig of his own. but then WeiMing started challenging him to a dance-off HAHA COOOOOL la.
i should learn to break dance too.
